Thirty-three-god-heaven awareness (Buddhism, Tibetan)

This state of human awareness is projected as the qualities ascribed to the deities in this heaven. They are powerful, endowed with supernatural sensory powers, yet are attached to pleasure. In this state one becomes a god, but only for a time before one is a dying god, destined for rebirth in a lower state when good karma is exhausted.

In Tibetan Sakya Buddhism this is one of the states in the "Ascension Stages Game". In some sets it is numbered 28 on the board.
