Animal-hell awareness (Buddhism, Tibetan)

Description

This state of awareness is characterized by the appetites and dispositions of animals. It is represented as a hell where the soul becomes animal-formed: serpents come from anger, lions from pride, dogs from arrogance, and the horse from unpaid debts. Other animals correspond to other faults.

Context

In Tibetan Sakya Buddhism this is one of the states in the "Ascension Stages Game". In some sets it is numbered 11 on the board.
