Discipleship-vision awareness (Buddhism, Tibetan)
- Sravaka-darsana-marga
- Paths of vision and cultivation
Description
This state of awareness, called the Paths of Vision and Cultivation, is characterized by deep insight into the four noble truths. This insight destroys the idea of the reality of the self. In addition, through cultivation of analytical meditation, all attachment to pleasurable sensation is destroyed. One experiences the "adamantine trance" (vajropama samadhi).
Context
In Tibetan Sakya Buddhism this is one of the states in the "Ascension Stages Game". In some sets it is numbered 40 on the board.
