This is the stage where meditation leads to attachment to pleasures being destroyed. In the yogacara path of liberation, this is where the ten lands of the bodhisattva are passed through and further progress made in insight and cleansing from defilements.

Context

The fourth phase of the path to realization when the journey is seen in five stages – panca marga. Also the third stage on the path of liberation as practised in yogacara. Also, as cultivation of the 37 constituents of enlightenment (bodhipakkhiya), one of ten superhuman qualities described in the Sutta Vibhanga as being special attainments of insight above that of ordinary men.
