Discipleship-application awareness (Buddhism, Tibetan)

  • Sravaka prayoga-marga

Description

This state of awareness is characterized by calm abiding and special insight. It is represented as achieving 5 mental powers: magical; clairaudience, telepathy, and past-life recollections of self and others. There is still another of the mental powers (abhijna) to come. This, the sixth, will eventuate when Nirvana is about to be realized.

Context

In Tibetan Sakya Buddhism this is one of the states in the "Ascension Stages Game". In some sets it is numbered 39 on the board.
