Identifying sustainable technology information gaps

Synonyms:
Supplementing environmental sound technology information systems
Context:
This strategy features in the framework of Agenda 21 as formulated at UNCED (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), now coordinated by the UN Commission on Sustainable Development and implemented through national and local authorities.

Agenda 21 recommends that an inventory of existing international or regional clearing-houses or information exchange systems should be undertaken by the relevant United Nations bodies. Their existing structure should be strengthened and improved when necessary. If necessary, additional information systems should be developed in order to fill gaps identified in this international network.
