Other Names:
Lack of credit facilities for women

Active prejudice by lending institutions towards women
Prejudicial treatment of female borrowers
For centuries, one of the ways in which women have been subjugated is by limiting their ability to acquire, control and accumulate money.
Counter Claim:
Women in the Third World are far more creditworthy than men. They use resources better, they are better managers. You see a 3-year old girl, and she is looking after a younger child while the 5-year-old brother is playing outside. She is managing from an early age.
