The current state of agricultural technology offers numerous possibilities for lessening the environmental impact of production. However, the ability to implement environmental preferable practice is closely related to the state of technology and social organization. In order to serve well, technologies need to be applicable by actual producers; for this, farmers must be sufficiently trained.
