Svadhishthana (Yoga)

  • Her favourite resort awareness
  • Second chakra

Description

The whole of life is seen as centred on sex - repressed, frustrated, sublimated or fulfilled. Meditation enables the mind to reflect the world, the ability to use creative and sustaining energy to elevate one's self to refined arts and pure relationships with others is acquired, as one has become free of lust, anger, greed, unsettledness and jealousy. Elevation from the first chakra brings lunar awareness, reflecting divine grace of creation and preservation. Behaviour at this stage is marked by desire for physical sensation and mental fantasy. The downward, whirlpool effect (this is the level of water - [jala]

- and thus of taste) may cause restlessness and confusion. To remain healthy and balanced requires respect and understanding for natural limitations of body and mind. This person often pretends to be a prince or a hero, changing roles, maintaining high self-esteem and being chivalrous - the destroyer of evil of folk stories. The astral plane is encompassed, as well as those of entertainment, fantasy, nullity, jealousy, mercy, envy and joy. Fantasy may be used in crafts and fine arts but nullity, a state of emptiness and purposelessness, when the world is seen with a negative mind, together with envy and jealousy may give rise to destructive, restless anxiety. However, the plane of joy penetrates the entire consciousness of the person who has evolved beyond second chakra aspects.
