Sphere of wisdom (Kabbalah)

This sphere of awareness is associated with active (as opposed to passive) intellect, with a sense of vision, and thus with the development of inspiration. It corresponds to the developmental phase of death and the realization of achievement. It is symbolized by the positive and negative archetypes of the animus and the wizard, and by the planet Uranus, as well as by Adam in the Jewish tradition. This state of consciousness is said to be the mystery by which the world exists; the potency whose seminal spark will conceive, in conjunction with the female vehicle, all the images of creation.

This sphere is the second of ten described in the Kabbalistic system of sephiroth.
