Professional's and expert's roles and behaviour in society are largely defined by individualistic values and images. Both the public and the experts expect one to one relationship between professionals and their clients. Professionals tend to see their roles as self enhancing instead of serving the public. The directions of professions and the development of new skills are uncoordinated.
