Sense mode of consciousness occurrence (Buddhism)

Description

Following five-door adverting, eye, ear, nose, tongue or body consciousness arise at the eye, ear, nose, tongue or body door respectively, with the physical basis of eye, ear, nose, tongue or body sensitivity. The indeterminate resultant consciousnesses are of profitable result with respect to desirable and desirable-neutral objects and of unprofitable result with respect to undesirable and undesirable and neutral objects - ten states altogether.

Context

In Hinayana Buddhism, these are the fourth to eighth modes of occurrence of consciousness in which the 89 kinds of consciousness proceed.
