- Appropriate intellect
- Land of good thought
Description
This state of awareness is of the need to conform teaching to the student. It is represented in its developed form as the ability to speak in several languages and styles of delivery, with varying formulations adapted to hearers, all simultaneously – as practised by the ninth-stage bodhisattva expounding the dharma from his complete wisdom and knowledge. This wisdom includes possession of the ten powers – dasabala, the abhijna (six supernatural powers), the asta-vimoksa (eight liberations), the four fearlessnesses or certainties – vaisaradya; and the magic formulae – dharani. This stage is called appropriate intellect (sadhu mati).
