Description

This is the awareness is of the need to purify the elements of the practitioner's inner and outer world. In meditation, the ego is identified with the nature of a deity, verbalization with a mantram, and one's own locality with the corresponding pure realm of the god. It is an awakened state, yet one under guided initiation with prescribed ritual, chanted prayers and gift-offerings to the divinity and the teacher.

Context

In Tibetan Sakya Buddhism this is one of the states in the "Ascension Stages Game". In some sets it is numbered 33 on the board.
