God-consciousness
Description
At the end of the individuation process (Jung) or as the culmination of self-actualization (Maslow) the creative person may gain experiences which give him the feelings of an omnipotent power, an ability to magically transform things, super-knowledge, and a perception that he empathizes with or pervades all things and witnesses all things. He has been possessed, as it were, by a god. To the extent that the divine attributes dwell in him his state can be described, for example, by the names Zeus, Apollo, Dionysos, and Hermes-Mercury. On a different level, the culmination of religion may be seen as the awareness of unity or one-ness with the focus of that religion whether Christ, Buddha, Krishna, Ishvara.
