Description

There is sympathetic identification of others' emotions of happiness and misery with one's own emotions, one identifies one's self with the object of one's affection. Delight in the objects of affection may arise in that they are the means of bodily comfort and selfish enjoyment. Different teachers regard love as excessive attachment, as a mature state of affection which is attachment, as deep attachment to objects of desire. It is a mental mode in which the guna tamas predominates.
