Non-affection (Hinduism)
- Anabhisvanga
Description
There is an absence of affection or identification with any entity other than the self. All identification of one's self with objects of the nature of not-self and producing sentient pleasure is renounced. One writer (Baladeva) considers it the unconditional negation of love but that a trace of affection must exist even in non- affection as there is the presence of compassion for all.
