Using coal

Increasing use of coal energy
Context:
Coal reserves are estimated at 700 billion tonnes of oil equivalent (toe). In 1992 the World Energy Council revised down its estimates.
Implementation:
Coal represents 80% of energy consumption in China and 70% of energy consumption in India. Coal use in both these countries is expected to increase.
