iComm is a Canadian organization which offers free internet service and support to non-profit, charitable and community groups. Volunteers arrange for the donation of full internet access accounts, space for WWW pages, mailing lists and many other technical services to organizations.The Soros Foundation spent $US 4 million in 1994/95 to provide e-mail and full Internet access to individuals and organizations in Central & Eastern Europe as well as the non-Slavic republics of the NIS. Their object was to build the capability of local communities and organizations to take action for sustainable development.
