Description

In this state one generates compassion and wisdom and vows to attain supreme enlightenment.

Context

Tsung-mi demonstrated that, in the stages of phenomenal evolution he described, each step on the process of delusion can be counteracted by a step in the process of enlightenment. In this the second step, resolution to obtain enlightenment counteracts the good and bad consequences of generating karma, the tenth stage of delusion.
