Khilwat dar anjuman (Sufism)
- Enjoyment of solitude
Description
The seeker perseveres in listening to the motion in the heart at all times, whether alone or in company. The murmuring is nurtured through frequent silence, and continually nourished and developed, with eyes open or closed, until the enjoyment of solitude even in company arises more frequently and for longer periods. There is pleasure in this and the seeker has peace of heart and equanimity.
Context
This is the second state arising in the method of dhikr described by Shaykh Kalimallah.
