Improving international links among networks of natural and social scientists

Implementation:
This strategy features in the framework of Agenda 21 as formulated at UNCED (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), now coordinated by the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development and implemented through national and local authorities. Agenda 21 recommends improving existing and developing new links between existing networks of natural and social scientists and universities at the international level in order to strengthen national capacities for formulation of policy options in the field of environment and development.
