Making research results accessible to decision-makers and public

Results of research may be disseminated through technical reports, scientific journals, the media, workshops, forums or other means concerned with sustainable development issues so that they may be used by decision makers at all levels and increase public awareness.
This strategy features in the framework of Agenda 21 as formulated at UNCED (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), now coordinated by the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development and implemented through national and local authorities.
