1. Never before have so many people travelled so much and so far and at such speed as at present. Humanity is possessed by a hugh restlessness. What is causing this incessant movement ? It is desire in its myriad forms. Some are journeying to clinch a deal, make money, extend power; others seek a change of scenery or a hotter sun; a desire for adventure motivates other; many have been driven from their homes by famine or poverty or violence and are seeking a better life. All are searching for something they do not possess or have not experienced.
2. The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. (Augustine).
