strategy

Increasing support for improving environmentally sound technology and management

Implementation:
This strategy features in the framework of Agenda 21 as formulated at UNCED (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), now coordinated by the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development and implemented through national and local authorities.
Counter Claim:
Changes in technology and in lifestyle are not going to occur easily and speedily. They will be begun but not finished in the few decades that really matter. The global pollution issue we really need to tackle is not precisely pollution but rather the inevitable result when things go the way we think they should: new filters on exhaust pipes will not do anything about CO2.
