Nature:
Little attention has been given to multiple approaches for dealing with job immobility. Most workers are trained in only one skill. There are inadequate vocational training and retraining programmes for the physically handicapped, aged, unskilled and unemployed. These inadequacies force workers into a static job/role image which compounds immobility, and they see themselves as remaining in the same job and working in the same geographic location for the rest of their lives.
