Nature
Society fails to understand the need for the pro-establishment, those forces in society which tend to maintain the status quo, to be in tension with the dis-establishment, those forces which tend to force change on society. If the pro-establishment gains over-all control society becomes rigid and crystallized and a stifling social conformity results. If the dis-establishment becoming the dominate force in society a social anarchy in which the strongest and most ruthless dominate and the weak are enslaved or die would result. When tension is maintained so that neither dominates society can grow and stability is present.
