Concentration of the second jhana of five

Description:
Having eliminated applied thought, four factors remain in the second jhana: sustained thought rapture or happiness; ease or bliss; concentration.
Context:
According to Hinayana Buddhism, concentration is considered as of one kind (monad), of two kinds (dyads), of three kinds (triads), of four kinds (tetrads) or of five kinds (pentad). In the pentad, fivefold according to the five jhana factors, this is the second concentration. It is intermediate between the first and second concentrations in the third tetrad, in that applied thought is eliminated but sustained thought remains.<
