Theatre games

Description:
A theatre game is based on an outline scenario designed around a specific problem to be solved through the development of the drama. The solution is not written into the scenario but must emerge from the player-participants' improvised response to the situation and to the evolution of each other's roles. Provided the environment permits, each player-participant may learn whatever he chooses to learn. The game experience therefore increases the individual's capacity for experiencing and for surfacing unforeseen personality potentials. Through spontaneity in such a setting, individuals re-form their images of themselves and of each other. Spontaneity then provides a moment of personal freedom for the individual to explore reality, how he perceives it, and how the aspects of his personality function in relation to it, as an organic whole.
