Implementation

Doctors are close to being able to represent human smell digitally, said Nathan S. Lewis, Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology, USA, speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos (2000). The smell on our breath is an indicator of human health – for instance, acetone is an indication of diabetes. Doctors will be able to monitor our digital breath at a distance and receive early warnings of health problems.
