Providing public information and education on reproduction and health

Context

The aim is to develop culturally based information and education programmes transmitting reproductive health messages to men and women that are easily understood and are consistent with national priorities.

This strategy features in the framework of Agenda 21 as formulated at UNCED (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), now coordinated by the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development and implemented through national and local authorities.
