1. It is proposed that the RIGA-conference (2000) could prioritise a joint effort of all international and national organisations and Governments involved in the European implementation of the CBD, the PEBLDS and the EC Biodiversity Strategy towards resourcing Europe's biodiversity for which all relevant organisations are invited to allocate time and resources in order to develop and initiate this effort.
