Incidence

According to a 1993 UK report, people aged 17-21 account for only 10% of all licence holders but are involved in 20% of all car accidents. More than one quarter of those killed in car accidents (over 1,000 people) each year are victims of crashes involving drivers aged 17-21. An 18-year-old is three times more likely to be involved in a car accident than a 48-year-old.
