Shining mind (Taoism)

This mind is always calm even when active, always responding to change. It is subtle and hard to see but it is there, even in the ignoramus, even in the human mind and there is human mind even in the mind of Tao. The shining mind is constantly balanced in straightforwardness, discerning unity, never vacillating, always holding to the centre. When a student of immortality discerns and keeps to unity, holding to the centre, then the perilous becomes safe and the subtle obvious.
