Self-accusation

Description

A feature of [gedatsu therapy]

when the individual (usually a woman) blames herself for her suffering and for the suffering of others, even where it appears that it is another who is in the wrong (when the ego must apologize for allowing the other to do wrong). Interpersonal conflict is treated by demonstrating the fault in the other person to be a reflection of the individual's own disposition. Suffering is therefore said to be rooted in the mind of, and the fault of, the sufferer.
