Gedatsu therapy
Description
Gedatsu is a religious cult based in Japan whose psychotherapeutic methods of self-reconstruction, based on traditional Japanese culture and moral values, emphasize the feminine approach - women being expected to be less assertive and autonomous, more passive and maternal. The technique involves self-accusation, allocentric attribution, identity interchange and expurgation, reinforcing the Japanese moral ideal of selflessness.
