Ontological love

Description

Experience of oneself, rather than the experience of God through some form of ecstatic mystical union. Whereas the mystic aspires to ascend to love of God or union with God, this form of enlightenment involves real knowledge and feeling for the person's own ontological dilemma. This experience is characterized by openness and vulnerability through a bodily presence in the world rather than an endeavour to escape from it. It is the art of living an ordinary life in an extraordinary manner.
