Lower upper grade (Taoism)
Description
There are a number of practices including mirror gazing, meditative breathing, massage and physical exercices, extended pronunciation of certain sounds, mentally gazing at the top of the head or keeping the attention on the navel, keeping the mind on the elixir fields of the torso and head, staring at the nose, swallowing saliva.
Context
In the nine grades of practices which are side tracks and auxiliary methods in Taoism, this is the lowest of the three upper grades.
