Imploring succour (ICA)

Description

This is the cry for help when one asks oneself, "How will I ever make it through ?". It occurs when one acknowledges the interdependence of all things and is like being "at the end of one's tether".

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of acting out one's freedom (the life of prayer) the third formal aspect is surrender to one's unlimited inadequacy, or petition. At the third phenomenological level, this occurs when one acknowledges that which is beyond one's power to control.
