Growth games
- Transformative games
Description
Growth games are aids to self-awareness developed within the content of the human potential movement. Such games may involve several persons or may be engaged in by one person alone. They are designed for a variety of purposes such as: sharpening the senses, expanding consciousness, enlivening the body, letting oneself go and releasing tensions, self study and being oneself, building interpersonal warmth and trust. Participants carry out techniques to remove physical tensions and inhibitions; this is often followed by the disappearance of the cause of the problem. Games may be used during the course of group therapy and encounter groups sessions.
