Description
This state is characterized as an irreversible stage in personal spiritual development. The four foundations of psychic powers are represented as being attained on this level and are concentrations (samadhi) of: detached effort (faith); potency; mindfulness; and analytical concentration, leading to the psychic powers necessary to propagate and defend the Dharma. There is also a fifth concentration-foundation of [following the Dharma stream]
(Dharma-srotanugata-samadhi), which is said to confer the ability of coming into the presence of the high bodhisattvas and the various Buddhas. it is an essential characteristic of wisdom.
Context
In Tibetan Sakya Buddhism this is one of the states in the "Ascension Stages Game". In some sets it is numbered 54 on the board.
