Immediately following examination or investigation, the indeterminate functional or inoperative mind-consciousness element arises and determines the same object. This is one kind of inoperative or functional consciousness by way of determining.
Context
In Hinayana Buddhism, this is the 11th mode of occurrence of consciousness in which the 89 kinds of consciousness proceed.
