Al-Warith (Sufism)
Description
The believer is aware of Allah as the ultimate inheritor, that all he has is only lent to him and will revert to Allah. Knowing this, he follows neither the desire of the flesh nor the command of the ego but does all he does for the sake of Allah. He thus becomes one with Allah, eternal and everlasting.
Context
A mode of mystical awareness in the Sufi tradition associated with the ninety-seventh of the ninety-nine names of Allah.
