Counteracting rudeness

Implementation:
In 1997 China announced measures to counteract the rudeness of officials in public places such as airports, train stations, hospitals, state-owned stores, and post offices. A list of forbidden phrases was drawn up, including such common phrases as "Go ask someone else", "Can't you see I'm busy", and "Hurry up". Employees could be dismissed if they used language that hurt the dignity of customers.
