Developing electric vehicles

Implementation:

Toyota Motor Corporation and Nissan Motor Company have announced they will collaborate on producing hybrid electric vehicles over the next 10 years through a 'Basic Agreement'. The two vehicle manufacturing companies will share technical information and jointly develop hybrid electric components. The joint initiative will initially involve Toyota supplying Nissan with a hybrid system to be employed in Nissan vehicles targeted for the US market in 2006.
