Proposing alternatives to globalization

Developing an alternative, truly multilateral and democratically-based international trade system that supports the rights of workers, peasants and small enterprises and that values food security, the environment, the people's economic aspirations, equity and social justice.
1. Alternatives to globalization should uphold and safeguard peoples' interests, rights, welfare and values; ensure their sovereign control of their natural and human resources; guarantee economic democracy, democratic governance and peoples' right to determine their own natural destiny.
