The range of [Haliaeetus albicilla] covers; Afghanistan, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bhutan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faeroe Islands, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Nepal, North Korea, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, USA, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan and Yugoslavia. Its status in Albania and Algeria is uncertain but it is thought to be extinct from these two countries.
