Otus sagittatus is threatened from substantial lowland clearance on the island of Palawan, Philippines.

Background:

Otus fuliginosus is restricted to lowland forest and trees in mixed cultivation on Palawan, Philippines, where, despite recent records from at least three localities (St. Paul Subterranean National Park, Iwahig, Balsahan) it is likely to be genuinely and increasingly rare.

Incidence:

Otus fulginosus is listed as "Vulnerable" by the IUCN Red List.
