Prohibitive costs of purification of effluents and emissions
Nature:
Anti-pollution measures are deemed too costly by industry and by governmental polluters such as the military. Technology to recycle pollutants back into energy, fuel, fertilizer, or protein production is inadequately funded, although processes of this nature would pay for a large part of remaining purification costs.
