Nature:
Intentionally remaining on board a vehicle like a bus, ship or plane for the purposes of obtaining transportation without paying is stowing away.
Incidence:
The bodies of two men were discovered in a container on board a ship in Antwerp harbour, Belgium. They are believed to have board in Mombasa, Kenya and died from starvation and dehydration. In 1996, 164 stowaways were caught in Antwerp harbour, most of whom were deported.
